Looking for riders

I live in Tallahassee Florida. I just purchased an rxt-x and I’m looking for ppl who share the love of the water. Anybody in north Florida wanna meet up for a ride adventure? I bought the rxt-x so I could fish, dive, snorkel, ski or just ride for fun. PM me.

SeaDoo RIVA SCOM

Just purchased a 2019 RXT-X 300. Rode it once then installed the riva scom speed control override module and wanted to post some performance stats. Full tank I got it up to 76mph. After a few runs and a about 2/3 tank I was consistently getting 77mph. I’m considering the riva exhaust and engine intake upgrade along with the intake filter removal. Anyone have experience with this setup?

Allow me to introduce myself

Hi everyone!
I'm Nick. I will be managing the POWERSPORTSiD vendor account on this forum. I’m an avid outdoorsman and rider myself and I’m glad to join your great community! Growing up on a farm, I was introduced to all kinds of machines early. My dad showed me how to drive a tractor, snowmobile, and then showed how to handle an ATV. He bought me my first Honda Sportrax 90 for my tenth birthday, and I was instantly hooked.

The machine offered me this unique sense of freedom that I never felt before. And I still feel like a kid when I hop onto the saddle of an ATV, Jet Ski in summer or sled in winter. Now, when I work as a technical consultant at POWERSPORTSiD.com, I can test-drive our project vehicles to know exactly what the user can do to improve it and enhance its functionality.

Yamaha 94 Blaster Trouble

We have a 94 Yamaha Wave Blaster with an after market primer. Not often, but we have a situation that when the blaster is started, the engine will run at full throttle for about 30 seconds, without the throttle being squeezed and will continue after the key is pulled from the button. After 30 seconds, the blaster will die or the throttle will resume working. Both times the blaster was on the trailer in the yard and not on the lake. Any ideas where to start?

93 yamaha VXR PRO 701cc

Hey everyone, I recently bought a VXR PRO from a guy that was going to use the engine in his stand up stunt ski. The ski would start everytime just with a quick push of the green button. So I take it to the lake to ride it for the first time and of course it won't fire up. It turns with the starter that's it! I took the plugs out replaced with new ones and nothing. I then found a black wire off the head that goes to the brain. It was cut in half. I repaired it. What is this wire for? I tried to turn over with the plugs out placed on the heads horizontally. For a few rotations of the engine I could see weak spark out of one plug then it stopped. Next I unplugged the black and white kill switch wires. No spark Currently I just took the 100 screws out of the brain in order to split the case to see inside. I haven't tested anything yet....I just really don't know what direction to go in so I'm reaching out to all you fine members for your expertise and suggestions. What would also be a big help is a service manual I don't even know the gap specifications!? Its got cold in Atl. Georgia but if I could get this Badboy running I'll throw my wetsuit on and ride out. When I was younger I wanted one of these machines so bad but couldn't make it happen. So when I finally got this beast at 43 I wanted to make it look new. The gel coat was real thin in some places you could see and feel the fiber. I gel coated the top deck and put new stickers on. I've got alot of time into this machine. My wife doesn't understand...Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

How to flush an engine that won't start

Hello everyone,
I have a 2005 Yamaha FX Cruiser HO. The engine will not start and I still have salt water in it from the last ride. Is there any way to get the salt water out and possibly flush or add salt away? If not how long can salt water stay in there before my engine is toast? I thought about just running the hose but someone told me that will blow the seals. Not sure if that would even work if the engine is not running.
Thanks

Problem: ski with run on all 4 as long as it does not go above 5200 RPM, the thing that have been done has been new fuel pump, filter, and fuel lines, no help, new coils no help, I have metered all the inputs to ECM and they appear to be nominial. oil is good, new oil and filter. According to old owner he install a new wiring harness, but I think it was used but was done, old owner told me this just came on no warning, one day working fine next wouldnt go above 5200 RPM, any help would be great. im working on my uncles ski, 2000 ish ultra 150. he had a problem with the starter being stuck on around mid summer after he put a new battery in it, was still an issue after pulling the kill switch. he did some troubleshooting and decided he needed to replace the starter. fast forward to tonight, i got the parts and got around to getting the starter and the solenoid replaced, battery hooked back up and now when i put the key on there are no lights or noises or anything. everything was working fine last year. and he had it out earlier in the summer until the battery started giving him trouble. any advice on where to start. not able to find a lot of helpful info on the kawasakis on google or youtube.

I am replacing a fairing piece on a 98 xl1200. Part number is GU2-U513M-19-PO. I see it is pop riveted in but appears that the accessible side is the "back" of the pop rivets. I think I can drill them out but how to put new ones in since the "front" side seem inaccessible. Anyone here r&r'd this piece?

Hi all!

I have a 1993 seadoo xp that is apparently clogged. It shut down, got the overheating beep when trying to start it. So i let it cool down, started it out of water and plugged the hose in but no water is coming out the tell tale.

Where would you begin? Any tips are appreciated!

2001 XL800 hard to start after a few days

This wave runner runs fine when it is used every day but when it sits for 7-8 days, it is very hard to start . It just cranks and cranks for what seems like more than a minute (in 10-15 second bursts).

Is it possible that fuel is draining back into the tank? If that is the case, is there some kind of fuel check valve that can be inserted into the fuel line?

Not sure that's is, but it seems like that might be the problem.
